I recently picked up a white shirtdress and instantly fell in love. I have found countless ways to style it, and all while shopping my own closet. Whether you're looking for cute work attire or a fun date night look, this is sure to become a new closet staple. And styled right, a shirtdress can be worn year round.
Today on the blog I'll be sharing four easy ways to style a white button-down shirtdress. Get ready to be inspired!
For my first look, I simply belted my shirtdress and styled it with a pair of over-the-knee boots. I'm wearing one of my favorite leather wrap belts by All Santaella linked here, but any belt would work. I love the thought of styling this with a cute belt buckle or even a chain belt. And don't be afraid of adding a pop of color on this white canvas like I did with my olive green belt.
For my next look, I layered a cropped sweater over the dress and styled with some over-the-knee boots. Have fun layering short or long sleeve sweaters... solids or graphics. The cropped fit will add length to your body, making you feel just a little more taller and leggier... how's that for a word! I love the flirty vibes of this look - perfect for date night or girls night out.
Next, I layered on an oversized sweater. Styled with combat boots and a crossbody, I have a comfy and effortless look perfect for running around on the daily. Again, have fun playing with colors. My sweater, boots, and bag are all navy, but you could easily mix and match... for example, think red sweater with black boots and bag... the perfect look for Valentine's Day.
Finally, I'm adding a little casual chic style with my oversized sweater vest. I rolled my sleeves to tame down the oversized fit, adding a little shape to my look. Paired with black short boots and a paperboy hat, I'm feeling trendy and ready for anything.
I hope I've inspired you to add a shirtdress to your wardrobe. With so many ways to style, you're sure to get lots of mileage out of this closet staple. Happy styling!
